What we list, and what we don't.
The Kuma Bot directory is a curated, hand-reviewed place to find communities worth being part of. Here is what your community needs before it can be listed, and the kinds of servers we keep out so the directory stays somewhere people are glad they looked.
Before you list
When you submit a community you agree to four things. They are simple, and they are the standard every listing is held to.
The directory does not list communities built around explicitly adult material. Your community, and the content on show when someone joins, must be safe for a general audience.
Your community follows the rules of the platform it lives on, including that platform's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.
Your listing is reviewed manually before it appears, and may be reviewed again at any time if it is reported or an Aki Works team member decides to take another look.
Your community has Kuma in it, has active moderation, and has taken reasonable steps to keep the space welcoming, positive, and healthy.
What we welcome
- Communities with a clear purpose and a genuine, active membership
- Servers that are moderated and have rules people can actually find
- A description that honestly reflects what the community is about
- Categories that match where the community really fits
- Kuma installed and doing its job keeping the place safe
What isn't allowed
- Explicitly adult, NSFW, or fetish communities
- Hateful, harassing, or extremist communities, or those targeting a group
- Servers organised around illegal activity, scams, or fraud
- Selling or trading accounts, cheats, stolen goods, or regulated items
- Communities that break the host platform's Terms of Service
- Misleading listings: a description or categories that misrepresent the server
- Unmoderated or abandoned servers where members aren't kept safe
How review works
Nothing goes public automatically. An Aki Works team member reads each submission before it appears in the directory.
If you change your listing after it's approved, it goes back into the queue so the new version is checked too.
A listed community can be reviewed again at any time if it's reported or a team member decides to revisit it.
If your listing isn't approved
You'll be told why. Most of the time it's something small: a description that needs work, a category that doesn't fit, or a moderation gap to close first. Fix it and submit again, there's no limit on trying once the issue is sorted. Listings that clearly aren't a fit for a safe, general-audience directory won't be listed.
